Have you heard some rumblings about what’s going on here at my hotel?  Were you thinking I wasn’t going to reach out to you to tell you about this personally?  Well, the wait is over…

As of November 1^st, my hotel’s name officially changed to The Atlas˚ Hotel.

For the past 30 years, you’ve likely known us as the popular “Travelodge South” in Regina.  If you were around even before then you might’ve known us back in the day as “The Vagabond”.  (If that’s the case, you don’t need to admit it… you look great for your age).

After 4 years of planning and $10 million in renovations, I’m beyond excited to be taking the hotel independently.  The Atlas˚ Hotel is a unique concept – not affiliated with any franchise.  It’s owned by myself and operated by all of us here on The Atlas˚ Crew, my team who live and work right here in Regina.  My goal with The Atlas˚ is to create a hotel experience where we can do our own thing, evolve, and provide an experience unique to our Prairie guests. 

While I’ve got a lot of really exciting things up my sleeve for our business travellers and corporate clientele, there’s a variety of things that won’t change: Soaked! Waterpark is here to stay and yes, we still love families and sports teams!  The Knotted Thistle Pub is also sticking around – where else would you get Yards of Ale and Bacon Jam?  Lastly, if you’ve formed connections with any of my team here over the years, they’re not going anywhere either.
