Needles & Infectious Bodily Fluid Safety

Exposure to needles and infectious bodily fluids can pose a danger in the workplace as well as out in the community.  Knowing how to effectively control these risks is critical to keep yourself, and others, safe.

This course will cover:

  • Your legal responsibilities surrounding infectious bodily fluids, including the creation of an “Exposure Control Plan”

  • How to empower your workers to be proactive and avoid potentially dangerous situations

  • Introduction of safe work practices (eg. How to dispose of a needle)

  • How to create workplace-specific safe work practices

Recommended for:

  • Managers and Supervisors of employees who are at risk of exposure to needles or infectious bodily fluids and Health & Safety Committee Members.
