Service Hospitality dedicates countless hours to educating youth about the importance of workplace health and safety through Youth Safety Education Day, our in-class youth presentations for Grade 3, Grade 6 and Grade 8, career days, and online courses. These are delivered in a fun and interactive manner.
Worksafe Saskatchewan is holding its yearly Youth Video Contest asking students to showcase their ideas on how to be safe on the job and what it means to them to return home safely at the end of the day. For students, teachers, schools or organizations that are interested and want to win some awesome prizes, all you need to do is create a two-minute video to demonstrate workplace safety, health and injury prevention in an engaging way and creative way.
Every year, approximately 4,000 Saskatchewan workers under the age of 25 are injured on the job. Three young workers die annually in a workplace incident. With your help, we can reduce these statistics to zero so that youth don’t get hurt at work.
